I take weddings very seriously. I think being a part of one of the biggest days in someone’s life is a big responsibility. I’m always so happy when the client is pleased and we create a great memory.
In August we DJ’d a fantastic 10 year wedding anniversary party for Annie & Tony at the Ace Cleaners in Portland. Check out the awesome write up and photos on the Bridal Bliss blog!
Last week we opened the mailbox and were pleasantly surprised to find the new brochure for the Mattress Factory Museum in Pittsburgh. We opened it up and look who got featured! The Mattress Factory is one of the few installation art museums in the world and an amazing venue for a party. If you want a memorable wedding at a truly unique space, we highly recommend it.
One of our favorite catering and event companies, VT Group, recently won an award for being one of the Leading Caterers of America. There was a massive 3 day conference and celebration in Portland and we were brought in to DJ the kickoff party. Check out all the photos from Evrim Icoz and more HERE.
“I can’t stress enough how much different and dull my wedding would have been without DJ Zimmie. He so incredibly understood and delivered exactly what we asked for and what we didn’t ask for. We knew we didn’t want the typical wedding music with the Sinatra, Martin, etc. My husband and I love 90′s hip-hop, we both have been working in bars/clubs since that era so we wanted music to reflect one of the things that we bonded over. He played non-explicit samples from explicit songs that we all know and love. He read the crowd and gave them what they wanted and always kept us surprised with what came next. It was the best music I’ve heard at a wedding and so many of my guests agreed, one of which is a wedding DJ herself.
Zimmie is a great person, a talented DJ, and he should probably just have a PhD in music. We are already talking about sending him a deposit for our kids’ graduation parties.”
